SOPHIE HALLETTE
about SOPHIE HALLETTE
As a living international reference in the art of French lace and tulle, the history of the House of Sophie Hallette is woven with the complicity of 20th century haute couture figures as well as young contemporary couturiers and designers.
For more than 130 years, the House of Sophie Hallette has been creating tulle and lace with a stubborn passion that inspires designers from all over the world, from haute couture to ready-to-wear, from decoration to luxury lingerie.
Who produces the lace of the greatest designers of the fashion week?
It is the house Sophie Hallette located in Caudry in the Hauts-de-France.
Since 1887, this family business weaves and creates the most beautiful laces of the podiums.
We had the chance to open the doors of their factory!
We discovered their machine park! Some of them dated from the beginning of the XXth century! We also met the craftsmen who are the only ones to maintain this ancestral know-how.
Do you want ABOUT A WORKER to conceive a documentary about your factory or fashion studio? We would love to visit your workplace and meet the workers :)
