about SAFILIN
Founded in 1778, Safilin is the oldest linen spinning mill in Europe. In 1860, its first linen spinning and weaving factory was established in Armentières, and in 1922, it became the largest European linen mill. As part of its expansion in Europe, Safilin set up in a neighboring country with a strong linen tradition: Poland. In 2022, a new chapter began with the opening of its third spinning mill, based in Béthune in the Hauts de France region.
