ABOUT A WORKER was invited by the Parisian Fashion Museum, Palais Galliera, to imagine and produce a 360°experience for their summer evening event : LA MODE À LA PLAGE. For the occasion, ABOUT A WORKER transformed the museum courtyard into a seaside resort ! Check it out !
ABOUT “LA CABINE DE PLAGE”
ABOUT A WORKER designed the biggest emblematic Beach Cabin in the World !
With the production team based in Roubaix & the pattern making team in Paris, we were able to make a 20 meters fresco in a couple of days, by only using old workwear fabric rolls from our factory. We usually use these fabrics, to produce bleus de travail and other kinds of uniforms for companies ).
After traveling from Roubaix to Paris, The “CABINE DE PLAGE” was then hanged in front of Palais Galliera’s main entrance ! We used Boat Ropes to make it stand out !
ABOUT the custom workshop
During the evening, hundreds of visitors could customize an ABOUT A WORKER x PALAIS GALLIERA‘s summer accessory, designed and made, specifically for the event. Within 20mn, participants could design their own unique bucket hat or beach bag, by using vibrant fabric stickers ( Called “flex” in the Worker’s World) !
