We are super happy to announce our new collaboration with le 19M ! ABOUT A WORKER has conceived two projects for this new space based in one of the most swinging areas of Paris !

WHAT IS LE 19M ?

LE19M is a new spot in Aubervilliers which was designed to bring together 11 “Maisons d'Art” : some of the most important craftsmanship houses of the French Luxury and Haute-Couture industry . 600 artisans and experts are gathered in a new building offering working conditions favorable to the well being of everyone and to the development of new perspectives at the service of the biggest names in Fashion and Luxury.

GO GET YOUR TOTE BAGS LE 19M X ABOUT A WORKER

We were asked to produce thousands of tote bags for le 19M by designing them with unused fabrics from luxury houses. We collaborated closely with L’Atelier des Matières a resource center sourcing and recycling old fabrics and products from the most important french Fashion Houses. We then asked one of our production partners in the North of France to assemble them! Check out the production process below.

ABOUT A WORKER X 19M TOTE BAGS are given to VIPS visiting the building but are also on sale at LA GALERIE DU 19M for 29 Euros! As we have been using precious fabrics end rolls, all of the bags are made in limited quantities ! Go get yours before it’s too late!

EXPERIENCE LE 19M X ABOUT A WORKER‘S WORKSHOP

Our team welcomes you each saturday at LA GALERIE DU 19M to conceive your own upcycled charm for your bag (or your keys).

Through this workshop, you will learn some of le 19M’s craftmen gestuals, while upcycling some of ATELIER MONTEX, MAISON LEMARIÉ, CAUSSE GANTERIE & LA RÉSERVE DES ARTS’s leathers and pearls, usually manipulated for Embroidery, bag, or glove making. What a cool opportunity to create your luxurious accessory!
