What a crazy month! ABOUT A WORKER was invited by ADIDAS PARIS and TOGAETHER to organise a three weeks workshop around upcycling values for CITADIUM’s sustainability themed event “RECREATE”. CITADIUM in Havre-Caumartin, is probably considered as the french streetwear palace in Paris: this specialised shopping mall regroups more than 100 streetwear brands from the world, attractive to the GEN Z and Millenials. Through the two workshops we conceived for ADIDAS, we wanted CITADIUM’S client to be inspired by a new system of creation : ethical, sustainable but creatively inclusive to the participants and the big brands.

ADIDAS FOR ALL!

The aim of the project was for everybody to create their dream fanny pack or bob hat, for free, with deadstocks from ADIDAS. While becoming ADIDAS X ABOUT A WORKER’s designers, we wanted the participants to understand how easy and cheap it is to upcycle clothing! More than 450 people created their unique accessory with us over these 3 weeks on site at CITADIUM.

STEP 2 : Cut your shapes

Learn how to trace and cut fabrics from ABOUT A WORKER’s accessory patterns. Implement the graphic, colours and textures of your choice on your design.

STEP 3 : Color your accessory

Show us your design by coloring our bob hats and fanny packs mock ups! Your drawing will help the workers to understand how you want your accessory to look like .

STEP 4 : Discover the production process

Walk into our production factory, where we make your accessory! It takes us 30mn to produce your design with our workers team from RÉSILIENCE factory / ANTI_FASHION foundation.
