HAVANA CLUB X ABOUT A WORKER
ABOUT A WORKER was invited by HAVANA CLUB to host a workshop .
For one evening, 500 employees from Pernod Ricard’s group created their own TIE-DYE bandana ! In order to organize this special event, we used fabric paints and vintage bandanas.
A BIT ABOUT THE BANDANA’S HISTORY
Originally coming from the late 17th century Middle East and South Asian cultures, "bandana" is a derive from Hindi, the translation of which is "tied cloth". It was in this region that the first printing processes emerged, which involved pressing pre-cut blocks into small pieces of cloth, infusing them with the first colors made from indigenous plants and material s.The bandana has been worn by many workers worldwide for generation since the 19th : sailors, seafarers, farmers, cowboys, bikers and miners but also gang members and general rebel culture.
