ABOUT THE EXPRESSIVE MASK
Since the Covid-19 crisis, the mask has become an essential accessory. But its popularisation erases the unique expressiveness of each individual: vital to human beings, to assert themselves, transmit and communicate their stories and emotions. ABOUT A WORKER has designed a mask whose major function is to be an expressive medium allowing our society to expose their emotions and feelings by creating their own statement. The Expressive Mask are proudly made by women workers from CONCEPT INSTERTION, an integration factory situated in Calais (North of France), which has the particularity to employ experienced seamstresses and apprentices in vulnerable living situations.
