CASA 93 X ABOUT A WORKER
Do you know CASA 93? That wonderful fashion school based in the suburb of Paris ? CASA 93 is a committed fashion training of a new kind, free and without diploma conditions for young creative people with atypical profiles, trained to rethink the fashion world of tomorrow in a more human, united, transparent and responsible manner. The training is accessible to all young talents aged 18 to 25, including young people with disabilities who are able to use sewing equipment. We were so lucky to collaborate with 6 of their students ! With many abilities such as sewing , designing, directing artistically !
THE POLICE UNIFORMS
We had the chance to gather unused police / custom borders uniforms to create this collection! ! With the hundreds of security items we had, we asked the students to deconstruct them and imagine a collection of new clothes ! read through to know the process behind it !
step 1 : a dreamy policeman
As french police has been linked to paradoxal violence in the recent years , we asked the students to imagine what a “peace guardian” could become positively. We first asked them to construct a persona which could fit to a policeman. They were asked to conceive a moodboard and a mindmap reflecting the many traits.
step 2 : a collective design
Casa 93 students were then asked to illustrate their vision by designing a collection collectively. With their combined creative and crafts knowledges , they designed clothing an which could be used as statement pieces but also as daily items. They used impactful graphic and functional forms!
step 3 : a VERY FRENCH collection
Casa 93 students produced the prototypes at the studio in a very short amount of time ( 4 days! ) . The collection will be ready in december for XMAS! It will be produced at our factory in Roubaix, France.
step 4 : AN IMPACTFUL photoshoot
To promote the collection , CASA 93 students were asked to take care of the photoshoot creative direction. We did it near their school in Montreuil . They wanted to do it next to a butcher’s place ! Check the photoshoot out right below!
