EXPOSING THERMAL CURTAINS THROUGH AN IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION
Discover the 360°immersive experience ABOUT A WORKER imagined for Post Mining Network’s exhibition at Cité des Électriciens ! Our aim was to showcase the entire process behind the creation of Thermal Curtain, developed in collaboration with the researchers from Post Mining Networks, architecture students from ENSAPL, the ABOUT A WORKER couture team and the inhabitants from La Cité d’Orient, in Harnes, France. How to create curtains with the least carbon footprint ? For the creation of thermal textile tests and curtains, ABOUT A WORKER was asked by the Post Mining Network to source local materials. Thanks to the regional textile production company : SAFILIN, LEMAITRE DEMESTEERE, SOPHIE HALLETTE, LE RELAIS MÉTISSE, L’ATELIER DES MATIÈRES, to have taken part as partners in this project. These enterprises have given us textile fabric, threads, and fibers for the prototypes of the project.
