ABOUT ABOUT A WORKER @ LOTTOZERO
ABOUT ABOUT A WORKER EXHIBITION
During October 2020, ABOUT A WORKER moved for 3 weeks to Prato, Italy. While producing a sight specific workshop for the exhibition “Protext” at Centro Pecci, we were also preparing an archive exhibition “About ABOUT A WORKER” with Lotto Zero, a textile laboratory and residency for designers, artists and artisans situated at the heart of the Chinese Production district of the city. Lotto Zero’s aim is to value innovation in the textile world and give foreign resident, the opportunity to connect with actors of the local industry, while showcasing their work.
The exhibition project “About ABOUT A WORKER (02.11.20 - 31.01.21)” , was curated by Elena Ianeselli and Alessandra Tempesti, and has been conceived as an in-depth examination of our four main collections : Saint-Denis (2017), Venezia (2018), La Redoute (2019) & Shenzhen (2020) which was presented for the first time in Europe, after being conceived and showcased at Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism & Architecture in Shenzhen, China.
By entering the exhibition, visitors are accompanied in a path that recalls the industrial environment and gives particular emphasis to the stories and processes of inclusion that underlie the creation of the collections..
Thanks to the Lotto Zero amazing team and the Commune di Prato for making the exhibition happened! We are really honoured :)
