ABOUT THE VERY YOUNG DESIGNERS
ABOUT A WORKER collaborated with students from La Micro École, a school dedicated to primary students in scholar difficulties, situated inside the Collection Yvon Lambert. La Micro École’s particularity is to merge visual arts with the regular french educational system, in order to enlighten their students eyes and minds. La Micro École’s students regularly work with Collection Yvon Lambert’s invited artists and conceive projects together.
UNIQUE UNIFORMS INSPIRED BY SOL LEWITT
Each student was asked to customize one of ABOUT A WORKER’s WRKR jackets by getting inspired by Sol Lewitt’s Wall drawing #1143, part of the Collection Lambert. Sol Lewitt’s wall drawings aren’t painted by the artist himself, but by the collector who buys his certificate. Sol Lewitt’s certificates are conceived as rules, giving their buyers the freedom to use their personal imagination to interpret their version.
During the design initiation, the students were asked to read and listen to Sol Lewitt’s certificate #1143 and interpret them through many mediums :

All along the process, the young designers were helped by the ABOUT A WORKER to achieve their creations.
ABOUT THE RESULTS
After two days of workshop, the custom jackets were ready to be worn by the children and the Collection Yvon Lambert’s Mediators for Notre Musée exhibition. During the opening, the ABOUT A WORKER team finished to produced Collection Lambert x ABOUT A WORKER jackets inside the Micro École classroom, opened for the occasion.
